Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin (2Kings 2:23-24)

Not really a post here, but a link to a guest post in Dwindling in Unbelief.

I was thinking about a similarly titled blog in response to his site the other night - lol. Nice!

I responded to the blog post with...

---
God does not see age or time. He sees eternity, and the Bible assumes an eternal perspective. Hitler was Hitler before Hitler was born. To omniscience Hitler is no different at 1 than he is at 35.

2 Peter 3:
8 With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Contrary to what the pundits say, not all babies go to Heaven (actually no one does- another debate). All have to accept God (Christ)- or not.

Psalm 51:5
Psalm58 3

What if you absotively knew beyond a reasonable doubt that a child (or a group) would become something horrific if allowed to exist for eternity? Or would do something in time that would effect eternal providence?

Romans 9:
11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God's purpose in election might stand: 12not by works but by him who calls—she was told, "The older will serve the younger." 13Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

John 6
61Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, "Does this offend you? 62What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.

You're looking a things through the eyes of a mortal.

Hey, - totally unrelated to this post - I just started looking at your blog and am, in all honestly, a little disappointed that you seem to have given it al up!

As a "devout" atheist I've been reading the SAB with interest and found myself on your blog through that. It was so refreshing to come across the responses of a Christian than appear to be well thought-out and have a degree of open-mindedness (this is not a sly dig I assure you, and I realise that the non-believers among us can also be very narrow minded and unreasonable).

Well, that's all really, just felt the need to express my pleasant surprise over having found this blog, I'll be looking over your archives for a while I imagine.

Thanks for the kind words. I may pick up the blog again some day, but my personal life has been in quite a bit of turmoil lately.

I'd ask you to pray for me, but that would be silly, wouldn't it? ;)

Hey, if a prophet can be wrong about something so spiritually significant, then how can we trust anything he said? Doesn't the Bible itself say that if a prophet is wrong then we should not listen to him? Hmmmmm.

Okay, but I'm not clear about what you're referring to?
